The Morning Glory Cloud was described by the Lonely Planet guide as:“the next most spectacular thing to see in the sky after a full solar eclipse”.

It is a rare meteorological phenomenon that is not entirely understood.
A cloud formation like waves rolling in the ocean.
View it from terra firma, fly above it or hop in a glider and ride the wave.
The video below was filmed by Baddog Productions and screened on SBS Television in 2015.

It happens around September and October every year.
Burketown (Gulf of Carpentaria, Queensland, Australia)  is the best place to view it.
