The Old Kitchen
This is the kitchen of the original Commonwealth Hotel which occupied the site during the early days of Burketown. The building was used during the 1970's as Joiner's Store, selling smallgoods, and then more recently as the Savannah Aviation office and briefing room until they moved into their new building.
Glider pilots come up to Burketown each year to soar the Morning Glory. Read some comments from one of the regulars.
If you're a bird watcher, this page may be helpful, and we also have a page on fishing.
